The SAIV Central Branch 2026 Agricultural Seminar, held in Bloemfontein on 3–4 September 2026, brought together valuation professionals, agricultural experts and industry stakeholders for two days of learning, knowledge-sharing, practical insights and meaningful networking.

From the opening welcome by Kobus Nel, Central Branch Chair and President of the SAIV together with MC Anne-Marie Delport guiding delegates through the programme, the seminar featured an impressive line-up of industry experts covering a wide range of topics relevant to agricultural property valuation.

Delegates explored everything from veld grazing, topography and vacant land developments to soil evaluation, agricultural economics and comparable farm sales. Discussions also delved into the growing role of wind and solar farms, infrastructure expansion, expropriation, technology and the impact of these factors on agricultural property values.

The seminar also offered opportunities to experience the agricultural sector from a different perspective, including an engaging presentation on the brewing and distilling of gin, beer and brandy which formed part of the networking session.

But it wasn’t all work and learning. Delegates connected over tea and coffee breaks, lunch, networking sessions, a lively game of Heads or Tails and a memorable braai, creating plenty of opportunities to build relationships and share experiences beyond the formal program.

And what a turnout it was. The response of the seminar exceeded expectations, with an exceptional number of delegates showing up and actively participating throughout the two days.

To every delegate who joined us: THANK YOU once again. Your attendance, engagement and enthusiasm played a huge role in making the Central Branch 2026 Agricultural Seminar such a tremendous success.

A special thank you to all our speakers, sponsors, contributors and the Central Branch for making the event possible.

As we close the chapter on this year’s seminar, the SAIV Central Branch looks forward to hosting you again next year for the SAIV Agricultural Seminar.

Until then, enjoy these moments from two memorable days of agriculture, valuation, learning and connection.
