SAIV MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME ENROLMENT OPEN

We are pleased to announce that enrolment for the SAIV Mentorship Programme is open.

The Mentorship Programme, endorsed by the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP), was launched to assist committed and aspiring property valuers who are experiencing difficulty in finding mentors and obtaining valuation experience.

The objectives of the programme are to:

  • Prepare mentees for entry into the valuation profession.
  • Expose mentees to various tasks and activities appropriate for their employment.
  • Expose mentees to a diverse spectrum of work available in their field.
  • Create opportunities for mentees to engage in conversations with established professionals, SAIV members, and their peers.
  • Reflect the diversity of the profession in all its forms, including age, gender and race.

The programme is targeted at 3rd-year students studying towards a Property Valuation or related course at an institution accredited by SACPVP, as well as Candidate Valuers who may have completed their studies and require mentorship and experiential learning.

Mentees will be required to attend regular physical and online workshops; and will be required to complete a series of valuation reports in line with the SACPVP matrix.

To apply, please complete an enrolment form available HERE.

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. You MUST be a member of the SAIV for your application to be considered.
  2. Upon acceptance into the Mentorship Programme, mentees are required to pay a R250 enrolment fee prior to their enrolment. This fee will be reimbursed once the mentee has successfully completed the programme. The fee must be paid in full by 30 June 2024.

Closing date for enrolment: Friday 21 June 2024 @ 16h00
