The SAIV Southern Branch hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting and Seminar on 28 February 2025 at Skilpadvlei Farm in Stellenbosch. The event kicked off with a series of insightful presentations covering a range of industry updates.
Abraham Laubser opened the session with a discussion on “The State of the Hospitality Industry in South Africa,” followed by Erwin Rode, who shared the “2025 Property Market Outlook.” Phil Barttram from the Green Building Council of South Africa then took the stage to explore the topic of “Green Buildings.” The final presentation was delivered by Allan Wantenaar, who also spoke on “The State of the Hospitality Industry in South Africa,” bringing the session to a close
After an engaging morning, delegates enjoyed a lunch break, using the opportunity to network against the backdrop of Skilpadvlei’s scenic surroundings. The AGM, led by Dean Ward, provided an overview of the year’s activities before officially concluding the event.
