SAIV Social Media Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter: This competition is promoted by the South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV).
  2. Competition Period: The competition runs from the 4th September 2023 – 6th September 2023 only. The winner will be announced 8 September 2023.
  3. Who can enter: You are entitled to participate in this competition if you are a natural person who is at least 18 years or older. SAIV student members, SACPVP registered Candidate Valuers and students studying towards a SACPVP accredited property valuation qualification are eligible to participate. The winner should be able to make arrangements to attend the seminar in person.
  4. How to enter: You can enter this competition, if, during the Competition Period you enter our competition on the SAIV Facebook page and follow all the competition mechanics.
  5. Details of how to enter this competition form part of the promotional terms and conditions. Upon entering the competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted all terms and conditions of the competition.
  6. SAIV reserves the right to modify the competition at any time without prior notice.
  7. By supplying your own details via the competition entry, you provide your consent to receive newsletter and marketing communications from SAIV.
  8. Entry fees: There are no entry fees to participate in the competition.
  9. Prize: The prize consists of 1 complementary ticket to the SAIV Northern Branch Seminar taking place on 15-16 September at Premier Hotel Roodevalley in Pretoria. The seminar ticket is valued at R1425 in the case that the winner is an SAIV student member and R5 700 in the case that the winner is a tertiary student but bears no membership with the SAIV.
  10. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  11. Any other associated costs for attending the seminar will be for the account of the winner.
  12. Selection of Winner(s): One (1) winner will be chosen randomly. SAIV’s decision in selection of the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into with any competition participant other than the one (1) winner.
  13. Use of participant and winner information: By participating in this competition, you consent to the use by SAIV or a third party nominated by SAIV of your Participant Information. You consent that your name and surname may be announced, posted and displayed on the SAIV website, social media pages and other digital platforms. The winner may also be requested to participate in marketing activities, including having his/her photograph taken or being filmed, but he/she will be entitled to decline to do so. The Participant will not be entitled to any form of remuneration as a result of SAIV using his/her Participant Information.
  14.  By participating in this competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted all terms and conditions of the competition.
